Open source software projects are historically central to the development of computing, and continue to be critical in an age where massive corporations increasingly offer half-baked products at twice-baked prices. Conda easily creates, saves, loads and switches between environments on your local computer. It was created for Python programs, but it can package and distribute software for any language.
