Research.

Duncan’s research has spanned string theory and cosmology, focal-plane instrumentation for the Rubin Observatory’s LSST Camera (SLAC), and detection statistics for primordial black holes. His 2025 PhD at UC Santa Cruz introduced the Weighted Overlapping Outlier Detection statistic: a local consistency test for survey photometry.
